Customer Replay

Yes she has zoom app but does not host meetings. Her audio has worked in the past

Okay, got it! Thank you for clarifying!
Does she use headphones when connecting to a Zoom meeting?

Customer Replay

No

Okay, I see. May I also ask what troubleshooting has she tried so far?

Customer Replay

We have rebooted, set up new meeting, etc. She has clicked mute/unmute, and her volume is fine on phone calls

She needs to make sure Zoom has access to her device's microphone. Here’s how she can do that:

  1. Go to Settings .
  2. Tap Apps & notifications.
  3. Tap App Permissions or Permission Manager.
  4. Switch on the toggle for Zoom next to the Microphone.

Just these 4 steps?

Yes, that is it. Please, let her try that and if the problem persists you can always come back to me.

She is on right now. Her zoom looks like it is turned on. She accessed Included Apps and it has all apps, messages, games, zoom etc

Please, ask her to select Zoom app in the settings and switch on the toggle next to Microphone.

Customer Replay

She doesn't have a microphone under zoom or apps
She sees no buttons for other icon etc

Does she have "App permissions" or "Permission Manager" in the Settings app?

Customer Replay

She is looking. She hasn't seen anything about permissions under settings
Does she need to go to her zoom app and look for something?

No, just the Settings app for now.
Can she please go back to the main menu in the Settings app and look for a search bar at the top?

Customer Replay

Ok
She OS on settings. Any other key phrase she should look for?

Top answer

If she found the search bar she can try typing "App permissions" or "Permission Manager" there and search for those settings.

Customer Replay

Under notifications it has stays bar. She is typing app permission right now. Ahah! She said it appeared to be turned off. She is turning it on
That takes her to zoom page
She will highlight use only when using zoom app. Right?

Yes, please select that!

Customer Replay

She did. Anything else she needs to check?

She can also ensure that no other applications are using the microphone at the same time. However, she should see first if the microphone is working now.

Customer Replay

We will try that. You were SO helpful. God bless.
