Only members who have an active subscription can ask questions on Howly. If you have already purchased our subscription, go to https://howly.com/ and type your question into the Chat form. Wait until our Customer Care specialists connect you to an expert who has the necessary knowledge and experience to provide you with a working solution to your issue. Then chat with the expert until your problem is solved.

How many questions can I ask here?

Howly members have no limits. While your subscription is active, you can ask as many questions as you want.

I chose the wrong category for my question. How to change it?

You can't change the question category manually, but you can ask our Customer Care to do it for you.

I want to view my questions. How can I do that?

All the questions you asked on Howly are saved on the My Questions tab. To view them, sign in to your Howly account and click on the My Questions tab at the top of your screen.

How to ask follow-up questions to my expert?

Go to the My Questions page and select a question you want to follow up. Then scroll to the Reply box, type your follow-up question there, and click on the Send button.

How can I change my question or reply?

Unfortunately, you can't edit your questions and replies on Howly. If you want to change or clarify something, just send a new message to your expert. To do it, open your question, scroll down to the text box, type your message there and click on the Send button.

How to add attachments to my questions?

To add attachments to your question, click on the Upload icon when creating your question, choose the file you want to add, and click on the Open button. If the uploading is successful, your photo or file will appear below the text box.

What attachments can I add to my questions?

Now you can add to your questions on Howly photos and files up to 5 MB. If your attachment is larger, you have to resize it.
The supported formats include ZIP, RAR, JPEG, GIF, PNG, PDF, DOC, DOCX, PPT, XLS, XLSX, SWF, FLV, WMV.

How to remove personal information from my question?

If you have shared any personal information in your questions or replies, you can ask our Customer Care to delete it at any time of the day and night. Just send them a message that contains a link to your question and describe what piece of information you'd like to remove.

I want to delete my question. How can I do that?

If your question is no longer relevant for you, you can delete it by sending a message to our Customer Care.

How can I get an expert answer here?

You don’t need to search for an expert on our site. You just need to type your question into the Chat form and wait several minutes until we examine your case and match you up with a specialist who has the necessary knowledge base and professional background to solve it. Then you can chat with your expert until you get the working solution to your problem.

Will you notify me when an expert answers my question?

Yes, we will send you an email notification when your expert provides an answer to your question. Also, you can always visit the My Questions page to check the status of every question you posted on Howly.

Do I need to do something to sign up for notifications?

No, we automatically sign you up for email notifications about all new answers to your questions.

How fast can I get an expert answer to my question?

I want to read my answers. How can I do that?

You can view all answers to your questions on the My Questions page. Just sign in and open it or follow the link in the email notification from our team.

I want to rate an expert answer. Can I do it?

Yes, you can rate each answer you receive on Howly. Our experts are happy to get your assessment.
If you are not fully satisfied with the expert answer you got, don't hesitate to ask your expert to give you more information or explanations.
If that didn't work, remember that you can always request a new expert. Click on the Request a New Expert link at the bottom of your question, or ask our Customer Care to assist you.

How can I rate an expert answer?

Find five stars in the top right corner of the Question page and choose the number of stars you want to give your expert.
Please remember that experts receive money for consultations only after you rate their answers.
If you click on the stars and nothing happens, inform your expert about it.

I mistakenly gave a positive rating to a low-quality answer. Can I change that?

Yes, you can. Send a message to our Customer Care team, and we will change the rating you gave and match you up with another expert.

Account Settings

I can't log in to my Howly account. What should I do?

If you have some login problems, start with checking your username and password. Ensure you enter the same username (your email address) and password you used when signing up.
If you can't remember your password, click here to reset it.
If you still can't log in to your account, enable all cookies and add Howly to your browser's list of trusted sites.

What is my username? I seem to have forgotten it.

We use your email address as your username on Howly. If you still have problems with logging in to your account after entering the correct email address, contact our Customer Care.

I forgot my password. Can I get a new one?

Yes, you can get a new password by clicking here. To request a new password, click on the "Forgot your password?" and then search for the email from Howly in your inbox.
This email usually comes within 5 minutes. If you haven't received it, check the Spam folder orcontact our Customer Care.

How can I change my current password?

You can change your current password any time you want in your user cabinet. Sign in to Howly, go to the My Account page and choose Edit. "This email is already taken." What does it mean?

If you see a message that your email address is already taken, it usually means that you have already used this email address to sign up to Howly in the past. So just enter this email address to sign in.
If you also can't remember your password – click on this link to receive a new one. Then use your email address and new password to sign in to your Howly account.

How to change my setting on Howly?

To change your settings on Howly, you need to open your account page and enter edit mode. Make sure you are signed in to Howly, then go to the My Account page and click on the Edit button.

I don't want to receive email notifications from you. How can I unsubscribe?

We use your email address to inform you about discounts and special offers available to you and notify you about new messages in your chats with experts. However, if you don't want to receive this information via email, you can manage the notifications you get in your user cabinet.
Sign in, go to the My Account page, find Email Settings and uncheck the box below your email address. Then click on the Save Changes button. Another way to unsubscribe from our email notifications is to open any email received from Howly, scroll to the bottom footer and click on the "Unsubscribe" link there.

How to delete my Howly account?

Unfortunately, you can’t manually delete your account. But you can ask our Customer Care do it for you.

My payment was declined. What happened?

Here are a few common reasons why your payment on Howly may be declined:
  • You accidentally entered incorrect credit card details (it may be card number, security code, or expiration date). Check the information you entered and re-enter it as shown on your card.
  • There are insufficient funds in your bank account to purchase or renew our subscription. Make sure you have enough money to cover the subscription amount.
  • Your credit or debit card has expired. Reissue your card or tie another card to your Howly account.
  • Your credit or debit card is on security hold. It means that the issuer has put a security hold on your card. Call a toll-free number on the back of your card to clarify the situation and inform the issuer of the card you are trying to make a purchase on our site.
