My printer ET2720 has scanner error E 02

screen said to turnoff printer . Did not work I also turned it off at power point. Did not work

Please follow these steps to power cycle your printer:

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  3. Wait at least 1 minute.
  4. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  5. Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  6. Turn the printer on.

I followed instructions. Screen is again showing Copy as a sellection

Firstly, something may physically make the scanner unit unable to move to the left, including a dirty cable and no power to the scanner. Or, you may have something physically obstruct the pathway of the scanner or something mechanical.
The next thing is the lamp might be burnt out. If you don't see a white light, that means the lamp burnt out, so it cannot scan the little patch, so the sensor will not be able to recognize you moving to the left.
Could you check it?

Can I just press Copy to see whether it is resolved?

No it already shows scanner errorE02. There is another number 100016 showing

I lifted the lid. There is no white light showing under screen

I selected scan and pressed OK but error message came back

On right, Left, or in line across. I do not remember as lid is always down when printing. Problem occurred when I was changing from using Epson Glossy photo paper for printing from Computer. I then tried to Copy using printer using Epson Glossy

A corrupted Epson printer driver or an incorrectly installed Epson printer driver could be the root cause of slow printing on your printer and eventually lead to Epson error 100016. This Epson 100016 error will usually be overcome by reinstalling the Epson printer/scanner driver.
Have you already tried to reinstall the driver on the computer?

How do I do that? you need to know I am 80 years old and insecure about anything like this. I know there was a disc in the folder

Please follow these steps first:

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Close any open programs or applications.
  3. Disconnect any interface cables.
  4. Do one of the following: Windows 10: Click the Windows icon on the bottom left and select > Apps or System > Apps & features. Then select the program you want to uninstall and select Uninstall.

Yes I do have Windows. I've just worked out OS is operating system . sorry

I only have you on computer and think I have no other programs or applications. How do I check. I was paying an account through Bank and trying to print receipt....Too scared to arrow back

Click the Windows icon on the bottom left and select > Apps or System > Apps & features. Then select the program you want to uninstall and select Uninstall.

Previously I had been printing pictures from computer using Epson Glossy and then wanted to copysome photos by placing them on screen and pressing print symbol. Is that relevant. Before I uninstall

I went to settings Found printer but can't fin uninstall

I did not remove device . Found Settings>Apps. Selected uninstall but then warning came about letting program take over or something like that

It brought up a screen which identified printer with uninstall at top and on bottom it said. I pressed OK but it did not highlight or respond OK or Cancel

After you click okay, does it still shows the "Uninstall option"?

No. Only "Cancel" was highlighted and it did respond to thatand not OK. It previously asked whether I would allow another device to work and I said yes

You can install the Software from this link, just click here ----> https://ftp.epson.com/drivers/ECPSU_1.41.exe
After that open the downloaded file
After that click on Agree to the End-User License Agreement, then click Next.
Click Install, then Finish.
Select your product, then click Next.
Or try to install the software from the disc. What will be more comfortable for you?
