My MB2546 printer will only print from the tray.

It was printing from the draws this morning

Short summary:

  1. From the home screen, touch Settings > Paper > Tray Configuration > select a paper source.
  2. Set the same paper size and paper type for the drawers that you are linking.
  3. Return to the home screen, touch Settings > Device > Maintenance > Configuration Menu > Tray Configuration > Tray Linking.
  4. Touch the "Automatic" option.
  5. Change the tray setting to Tray 2 for the test.
  6. Try to print and see if it works.
  7. If it does not work, make sure that the paper size setting of your document matches the paper size inserted in the paper tray.

Hello, thank you for using Howly.
What do you mean by "print from the draws" exactly?
And your printer is Lexmark?

Yes, however, there should be options like Tray 2, Tray 3, etc.
Can you see it?

Customer Replay

Yes

In that case, change it to Tray 2 for the test.
After that, try to print it via it. And let me know about the results.

Customer Replay

I changed it to tray 2

Good. Keep me posted, *****.

Customer Replay

I worked!! but how do i know is not the second tray

Sorry, what do you mean by " how do i know is not the second tray"?

Customer Replay

Well i have a bypass tray the ist tray and a senond tray

Do you want to change the settings to print from the bypass tray?
Usually, Bypass Tray is a second tray itself.
Or do you mean something else?

Customer Replay

no it changed to the bypass try all by it self
The tray i can calling bypass is the one you open and put paper in when need

Sometimes it can happen when the driver settings are incorrect, or the document's paper size setting does not match the paper size inserted in the paper tray.

Customer Replay

Only one size paper

Ok
After you've changed your tray in the settings, it should be set up as default in the future, *****.

Customer Replay
