no. but new laptop

You need to change the keyboard layout on a Windows computer from the UK to the US. Please, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the Windows Start button and select Settings (gear icon).
  2. In the Settings window, select Time & Language.
  3. In the Time & Language window, select Language from the left-hand menu.
  4. Under Preferred Languages, click on the language you want to add, in this case, "English (United States)".
  5. Click on Options and then click on "Add a keyboard".

I don't have an OPTIONS menu nor the US QWERTY option. I've chosen English Aust for the layout therefore. I'll now try and see if my @ and it does work and my # and it works. Thanks. you've done it!!

Nice! I'm glad I could help you! Can I do anything else for you?
