Customer: I purchased a new iPhone and downloading WhatsApp is taking too much time. It’s not been downloading for the last 12 hours

Dmytro Sywyi: Are you trying to download the app from AppStore?

Customer: no from iCloud to update

Dmytro Sywyi: Do you mean that you are downloading the backup information now?

Customer: all app and data uploaded in my cell except the WhatsApp data. It’s still showing downloading
Customer: yes backup

Dmytro Sywyi: Can you try to delete the app and then download it back?

Customer: will it not damage my data that I wanted to restore here from iCloud ?

Dmytro Sywyi: Your data is saved in iCloud anyway

Customer: I tried and it’s just two options. When I click on the icons it shows pause and on again a click it’s showing downloading. Where can I delete it

Dmytro Sywyi: Try to pause the downloading and then delete

Customer: ok.

Customer: Yes it’s deleted.

Customer: So I need to download from App Store ?

Dmytro Sywyi: Now go to the AppStore and download it back

Dmytro Sywyi: Yes

Customer: The AppStore is not available in my country. This message appears while clicked on the AppStore.

Dmytro Sywyi: Has it happen before?

Customer: No. This is first time I activate this phone. I purchased it from the US and activating here in Pakistan

Dmytro Sywyi: Please, try the following:

  1. Open the Settings app on your phone.
  2. Tap your name, then tap iTunes & App Store.
  3. Tap your Apple ID, then tap View Apple ID.
  4. Tap Country/Region.
  5. Tap “Change Country or Region”. Try changing it to USA for example
  6. Get back to AppStore and tell me, if that helped

Customer: So I need to select USA region or my country region?

Dmytro Sywyi: Check what country is stated there. If it is Pakistan – try changing to USA and vice versa

Customer: sure

Dmytro Sywyi: Tell me about the result, please

Customer: Thank you it’s downloaded and my data up to 25th July recovered
