I'm trying to setup my wf3820 and it stop midway saying that it didn't have all the file needed to cont

I ask that I use the disk by my computer doesn't have a disk player

What troubleshooting have you done with your Epson WF3820 printer so far?

So how do I know what file are missing. I downloaded the recommended file from the site.

now I've been having problems with connecting to the wi fi so I deleted the Epson program from my computer and place the printer on factory defaults to start fresh.
and started the setup just like I didn't when I purchased it.

wireless, yes. Also I notice that the printer connected to the wifi without asking me for my password. Is that okay?

It is possible that McAfee is blocking some files, let's try temporarily disabling it and downloading the software again. Please follow these steps in order to disable McAfee:

  1. Double-click the McAfee icon in the System Tray.
    This is located in the lower-right corner of the desktop.
    The icon looks like an "M" in a red shield.
    If you don't see the icon, click the arrow button at the edge of the System Tray to expand the Tray and display all the icons.
  2. Click "Real-Time Scanning".
    This button is located at the top of the window, underneath the green banner.
    By default, it will say "On".
  3. Disable Real-Time Scanning.
    When you click the button, you will be given the option to disable the real-time scanning and allow you to set how long you want it disabled.
  4. Turn off the Firewall.
    Click the "Firewall" button on the McAfee control panel, located beneath the "Real-Time Scanning" button.
    You can schedule how long the Firewall is disabled. Just like real-time scanning, this should not be disabled any longer than it has to.
    Even if we will not be done, you can come back to me after the appointment.

It's even easier to turn off the Trend Micro Antivirus.
Please, follow these steps:

  1. Right-click the Trend Micro icon in the taskbar notification area, and then select Exit.
    If you cannot see it, click the Show hidden icons arrow ^ next to the notification area.
  2. Wait for the icon to disappear.
    After you will try to download the software, to turn it back ON, double-click the Trend Micro icon on your desktop.

  2. Go to Devices > Printers & scanners > select an Epson wf-3820 Series > Manage.
  3. Then select Set as default.
