Hello, thank you for using Howly. I’ll be happy to help you out! May I ask your name?

Nice to meet you, *****!
You want to save all data from hard drive with os, that is not working properly?
the data from hard drive with the busted PC is all there
problem is none of the games/files can be used as errors like d3dcompllier_43 missing and d3dx9_34 error appear
i have check with DirectX and it all seems to be working fine
Got it
just to clarify something didnt mean to say busted PC above but busted windows as have two windows systems on my PC right now on different drives
Got it To make sure, that we're on the same page - you have 2 hard drives with os. One that you're currently using - is working properly. 2nd one isn't, and you cannot open any files on it, or you just cannot launch games, etc?
cannot launch games
Understood.
on the 2nd hard drive I was stuck in windows recovery for two days tried everything. The three different resets wouldn't work either
Understood Unfortunately, we will not be able to run games from another hard drive, as when you install games they are linked to the system. And those games that are on another hard drive at startup rely on the operating system from their drive, which is not active. In this case - we can format the hard drive, which is not working properly now, and you would be able to install games to this hard drive, and use it with the current OS.
Damn, was hoping not to do that. If i format the second hard drive can I still use it as space. As SSD only has 100 G space with the working OS, whereas the second drive with the bad OS is 2TB storage
Got it How may i help you in this case?
Just to know if I can use the second hard drive for space once I wipe it as assuming after this chat I will need to wipe the 2TB hard drive
Yes, if you format your other hard drive, you will be able to use it fully with your system. You will be able to install games on that drive and it will work properly.
Thanks. Just to double check, I should completely wipe that drive right
Sure, that's okay I’m glad I was able to get that sorted out for you. Is there anything else I can assist you with today?
Whats the best way to wipe it? last question but thank you for your time
