I have an older ipad that wont boot up anymore

It says to connect to itunes but i don't know how to do that

Now, power on the iPad to the request to connect it to iTunes.
And connect it to the PC using a cable.

Okay, can unconnected the cable, close iTunes, and power off the iPad.
After that, power the iPad on again, and connect it to the PC without opening iTunes first.
At what stage are you right now?
