I have a fitbit which no longer use

I have purchased a fitbit for my wife. Fitbit will not allow us to use her device on the email we both use. How can I rectify this problem

I have an account with fitbit that uses my email. In fact both my wife and I use the same email. I no longer use my fitbit because I have an apple watch. I would like my wife to be able to use a fitbit using the same email. Is there someway to cancel me out and have my wife use the email

Possible you are trying to sign in not log in.

You need the email just to log in to the account and in case you lost access to the account, it does not affect the use of the device.
