I am trying to register an older kindle but it does not recognize my amazon account

Short summary:

  1. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for an email from Amazon containing a 6-digit code.
  2. If you haven't received the code yet, wait for a little while and check spam/junk folders.
  3. Once you receive the code, retry the registration process.
  4. After successful registration, your device should display your name and "Instant Video" (or similar).
  5. If the screen is blank, restart the device by holding down the power button for 40 seconds.
  6. Your books should be accessible after the restart.

how do i find the modle info?

Please do the following:

  1. From anywhere, swipe down from the top and select All Settings.
  2. Go to Device Options and select Device Info.

At 12:45 I was sent a password good for 10 minutes. I used it but the registration failed, :
