When I send a document to print, the ET-2750/L4160 printer goes through the motions, but the page is blank

Short summary:

  1. Verify that the ink levels are above the lower lines on the ink tanks. You can do this by visually checking the ink levels in the product’s ink tanks.
  2. Print a nozzle check pattern to see if any of the nozzles are clogged. To do this, follow these steps:
    a. Load a few sheets of plain paper in the printer.
    b. Press the up or down arrow button and select Setup, then press the OK button.
    c. Select Maintenance and press the OK button.
    d. Select Print Head Nozzle Check and press the OK button.
  3. If the nozzle check pattern comes out blank, proceed to step 4. Otherwise, skip to step 7.
  4. Clean the print head. To do this, follow these steps:
    a. Go to the control panel and select Clean the print head. Press the OK button to continue.
    b. Wait for the printer to finish cleaning the print head.
  5. Print another nozzle check pattern to see if there is any change. To do this, repeat step 2.
  6. If the nozzle check pattern still comes out blank, repeat steps 4 and 5.
  7. Once the nozzle check pattern comes out without any lines, try to print a document from your computer.

Customer Replay

I added ink to each cartridge this evening - they were not empty, anyway

To confirm the actual ink levels, visually check the ink levels in the product’s ink tanks. Make sure the ink levels are above the lower lines on the ink tanks.

Okay, great! Let`s try printing nozzle check one more time and see if there is any change, okay?

Customer Replay

No "print head nozzle" there now
only print head alignment

Okay, in this case kindly select print head alignment, it`s sometimes needed after cleaning the print head.

Customer Replay

Okay, great!
Is it printed without any lines?

Customer Replay

yes, just rows of 7 little squares

Can you please give it a try and print out the document that you needed to print at the first place?

Customer Replay

ok
I have been trying
there is no print option on the window, only print photos

Do you mean on the Windows window?

Customer Replay

No - on the printer window

Okay, have you tried to send a document to print from your computer?

Customer Replay

yes, I did

Did it print document properly?

Customer Replay

OK - it has printed now,
but there are a couple os places where there is a line through the type - a whie line, showing no ink

Okay, you need to do Nozzle Check again.

Customer Replay

done

Please, go to your control panel and select Clean the print head and press the OK button to continue.

Customer Replay

says up to 3 minutes again
ok finished

Okay, tell me please do you have Epson Power Cleaning Utility on your computer?

Customer Replay

not that I am aware of

Okay, we can do it later.
Please try to print a document from your computer.

Customer Replay

ok
O my goodness, this time it is fine

Customer Replay

I have not cleaned the nozzles before - maybe I should have

Yes, you should clean them at least once in two months. :) Please try to print one more document just to be sure.

Customer Replay

I printed another document and it is fine

Great!
Do you have any additional questions I can help you with?

Customer Replay

No other questions, except do you think the lack of cleaning was the problem?

Yes, I think it was. Sometimes the leftovers of ink get stuck in the nozzles and when it dries out it would stop the new ink from coming onto the paper.

Customer Replay

OK Well, I am sorted now, and thank you so much for your assistance

Anytime :)
