Replacing drum... How do I reset printer? Brother MFC2710DW

Screen says replace drum when new drum added and dose not print.

    f. Clean the corona wire inside the drum unit by gently sliding the green tab from left to right and right to left a few times.
    g. Reinstall the toner cartridge and drum unit back into the printer.
  9. If the printer still does not work after following the above steps, perform a network reset:
    a. Press the "Settings" button on the printer.
    b. Navigate to "All Settings" > "Network" > "Network Reset."
    c. Confirm the reset by pressing and holding the "OK" button for 2 seconds.
    d. Wait for the printer to reboot.

printer said replace drum... I replaced w/ new drum... printer still says replace drum. Tried to print... nothing.

printer window only shows fax only / sleep ... press both and window shows enter fax no. press start

Yes, also removed new drum, replaced old drum and window says replace drum and will not go to drum counter reset.

going to buy a new printer other than BROTHER

TRIED NEW DIFFERENT NEW DRUM AND NEW DIFFERENT NEW TONER DARTRAGE AND IT STILL SAYS REPLACE DRUM.

Got it.

  • Make sure your Brother machine is turned on If the machine's screen is blank the machine is not turned on or is in Sleep Mode.
  • Press any button on the machine to see if it wakes from Sleep Mode.
  • If it does not, then check that it is plugged into a working socket and any power switches are turned to the ON position.

machine is on. It will copy but it will not print.

front is closed. I disconnected and reconnected the wire from the back of the printer and it printed.

So the problem is resolved?
