My question is that my Pro 10 printer does not turn on

I have been working with the printer diring the lñast ew days, printing some of my fine art b&w pics. Lastr Thursday I ran out of some of the Pixma color ink. I was going to keep printing today, but when turning on the printer in order to change the ink cartridges. It did not turn on. I ckecked the electricity outlet and everything that, could have been wrong. i even tried the outlet with a light and was ok

Firstly, please try to follow these steps:
- Disconnect the power cord from the device and the electrical source.
- After disconnecting the power cord, wait at least five minutes.
- Inspect the power cord for damage (exposed wiring, cracked, etc.). If the cord is not damaged, plug it back in after at least five minutes.
- If you are still unable to obtain thepower to the device, try another power outlet.
- If possible, try connecting power directly to a wall outlet (as opposed to using a surge protector or power strip...just as a troubleshooting measure).
1 and 2 done. power cord in good condition...waing for the 5 minutes to pass
I will proceed to plug the printer directly into the wall outlet and not through the extension
