They are all there!

Hello, thank you for using Howly.
Is it new? Your HP 8600 Plus?

Customer Replay

No but just now put back into service

Did you try to restore a printhead?

Customer Replay

How do I do that?

  1. Remove the Cartridges
  2. Remove the Head
  3. Find a Proper Suction Tube
  4. Dip Into Water
  5. Dry the Head
  6. Set everything back to the printer
Customer Replay

I have no clue how to remove the print head and certainly don't have a suction hose!

Your printer might not recognize the print head because it needs cleaning
Let me help you with those steps

Customer Replay

I have the cartridges and the print head out

Great!
Will you manage to clean the printer head?

Customer Replay

As best I can

I believe you can do it!

Customer Replay

The bottom of the print head goes into water?
Yes ot no?

Fill a bowl with warm water and place the printhead directly in it. Let it sit for five minutes or so. Pull the printhead out of the water and use a lint-free cloth or paper towel to remove the dried ink.
Keep me posted please

Have no way of getting a suction tube! Can I blow it dry with my compressor?

Take a warm damp paper towel or coffee filter and blot the cartridge with the printhead facing down onto the paper towel. This will remove any dried ink on the printhead. Then, hold the cartridge with the printhead facing down against a dry paper towel for 2-3 minutes.

How do I clean ink?

Let me see what I can do
Whether you're concerned with how to remove ink from clothes like jeans, shirts, or other cottons, you’ll just need a good solvent, like rubbing alcohol, hairspray, or hand sanitizer, as well detergent for pretreating and washing.

Customer Replay

OK
The carriage has slid to the left and I cannot reinsert the head

Try to remove it again and put it back
It should fit

Customer Replay

The printer ios still telling there is a problem

What exactly is a message that you see?

Customer Replay

There is a problem with the printer or ink system. Shut down and restart. Is still not working!

I see
Did you check if you have ink in the cartridges?

Customer Replay

They are new!

Noted
Open the door to access to the ink cartridges, and then determine if the carriage inside the printer has a printhead latch.
