on Friday I was typing in a word document that I hadn't saved. My computer glitched and restarted completely, a MacBook, and my document was gone
I have tried everything the internet told me to do and I cannot find my document

I got you, may you specify please, do you use Microsoft word?

is there anything I can do to recover it?

Unfortunately, your file is lost, but you may prevent it for your future files
To make Microsoft Word automatically save your files, you can do the following:

  1. Open Microsoft Word.
  2. Click on the "File" tab in the top-left corner of the window, then click on "Options" in the left-hand menu.
  3. In the Word Options window, click on "Save" in the left-hand menu.
  4. Under the "Save documents" section, check the box next to "Save AutoRecover information every" and set the amount of time you want Word to wait before automatically saving your file.
  5. Click "OK" to save your changes.

It seems that your Mac just lost file. Unfortunately even if you somehow recover the file it will be corrupted
