Nice to meet you, *****!
Can you tell me more about the issue, is there an error message, perhaps?

Customer Replay

I have the screen dump that pops up... I copied the last one.

Can you share it with us?

Customer Replay

It's insanely long, but I will cut and paste the first page.

Yeah, I don't think this would be of much use

Customer Replay

I thought perhaps this part:
Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS or this:
Termination Reason: Namespace SIGNAL, Code 10 Bus error: 10

Let's try deleting your mail preferences

  1. Quit or force-quit the Mail app.
  2. Control-click or right-click the Finder icon on the Dock and select Go to Folder.
  3. Copy and paste the following path into the Go to Folder box and press Enter:
  4. Move the Mail preference file into the Trash:
  5. Restart your Mac.
  6. Relaunch the Mail app.

There's no sound played from this cat and I got distracted with emails!

Any luck with the instruction?

Look at №3
what path?

Apologies, this one: ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail/Data/Library/Preferences/

Customer Replay

Okay, got it!
Okay, will do that now... but note this computer will be restarting... are we gonna lose the chat?

And at point 4 you need to move this com.apple.mail.plist
No, you won't

Visitor uploaded: Screen-Shot.png

Yes, move that one to the trash

Customer Replay

Okay, done... it's in the trash, restarting now. Stand by

Take your time
Did you relaunch the mail app ?

Customer Replay

I did

Does it work now?

Customer Replay

Well I suppose time will tell. It was always working, it was just repeatedly crashing, maybe 3/5 times a day. So I'll give it a day or two and see! I'll circle back if I need help again!

Ok, no problem:)
Is there anything else I can do for you today?

Customer Replay

No, all set, thank you
