I've got a mouse that I bought from apple store, it dose work on my old computer but not on new MacBook Air

Hello, thank you for using Howly.
Is it a bluetooth mouse or no?

yes no wires

Make sure the batteries are charged and properly inserted in the keyboard, mouse, or trackpad and the device is turned on and discoverable.
On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Bluetooth in the sidebar.
Hold the pointer over the keyboard, mouse, or trackpad in the list, then click Connect.
