Ok there is a little tab that slides. Up to the paper when you load it in the paper drawer. It’s purpose is to keep the paper feeding through as it is used down in the stack. It keeps the paper straight.it is located at the end of the paper normally. Right now when it ran out of paper you have to press the slide button to move it back to put paper in after the paper was loaded the little slide would not go back to the end of the paper where it is suppose to be. I don’t know any other way to tell you this.

In this case, please follow these instructions.
Open the paper tray door, and then pull it toward you to extend the paper tray.
Gently pull out the paper tray extender, and then lift up the paper catch.
Slide the paper width guides to their outermost position.
Examine the condition of the paper, and then replace any ripped, dusty, curled, wrinkled, or bent paper.
