I have a EPSON WF-2850 Printer and deleted from my iMac as I was having trouble trying to get theWiFi connection to work

I've tried to reinstall but get to Scanners & Printers & it won't show the Application on my iMac Screen to finally download

Hello, thank you for using Howly.
Please, click the "+" button in the Printers & Scanners section select your printer with Kind set as Bonjour, select your printer from the Use drop-down list, and then click Add. This adds the printer back to the printer queue. Try printing again.

Sorry don't understand Kind set as Bonjour
I've Done the section Add Printer but nothing comes up even though I've reinstalled the WF-2850 software

Do you see your printer in the drop-down list?

Customer Replay

Nothing at all comes down in the drop-down list. Comletelt blank

Got it, thanks for clarifying that.
In this case, let`s try to connect your printer using the printer`s control panel. Please, try to follow the steps below:

  • Select Start Setup or Change Settings.
  • Select Wi-Fi Setup Wizard.
  • Select the name of your wireless network or select Enter Manually to enter the name manually. Use the displayed keypad to enter your network name.

Made a mistake have to start again
The message now is Set up Complete. What's next?

  • Select OK when you finish entering your password.
  • Confirm the displayed network settings and select Start Setup to save them.
  • If you want to print a network setup report, select Print Check Report. (Otherwise, select OK.)
  • Press the home button to exit. You see the network icon on the LCD screen and should be able to connect to your product directly from your iMac, and then print.
  • After, please click the "+" button in the Printers & Scanners section on your iMac and select your printer.

Don't have a + button only Add Printer. That's where the problem is Nothing comes on the drop down Screen. Even now

I see.

  1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Printers & Scanners in the sidebar. You may have to scroll down.)
  2. The Printers & Scanners dialogue shows options for setting up a printer and a printer list with an Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax button.
Add the printer to your list of available printers: Click the Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax button on the right. A dialogue appears listing printers on your local network. It may take a minute or two for your printer to appear.
If your printer still doesn’t appear in the list, try adding the printer by its IP address.

To add it using the IP address, please follow the next steps:

  1. Click the Apple icon in the upper left-hand corner of your Mac.
  2. Open the System Preferences panel.
  3. Click on Printers and Scanners.
  4. Then click on the + sign below the list of printers.
  5. Click on the IP icon.
  6. Type your printer's IP address in the Address field.
Is everything clear with the provided instruction?

I've already done all those things apart from adding the IP address. Where should I enter it? There's no IP icon on this screen but the address I can get from the printer
Yes sorry I just saw the IP icon

Please, click it.

Customer Replay

Did thank you & it came up in the section Printers & Scanners but does not indicate Prince WF-2850 Series

Please try to click it in the drop-down list, and then click Add.
This adds the printer back to the printer queue. Try printing again.

Customer Replay

Nothing happening yet. However I've been able to print something with just the IP address shown. Can't understand why the printer series does not appear in the drop down list. Just nothing

You can also restart your iMac and printer and try to add it again.

Customer Replay

I'll do that. Thanks there's obviously nothing more I can do at this point & at least I can print stuff .
