Nice to meet you, *****!
Just to clarify, someone is telling you, that you have to visit a website because you've got viruses on your computer, right?

Thanks. I am located in Reading UK. Am receiving persistent calls from Microsoft, and demand I attend MS offices in Reading or they will block my computer. Not sure how to proceed. Can you advise please?

Got it, and do you have any signs of viruses on your PC? Is it working slowly, or something is happening to it?

Customer Replay

Yes, asking me to download apparently non-MS software.

Noted, and do they give you some kind of a link to download it?

Customer Replay

And threatening to block my computer.

Oh, don't worry about that :) Nowadays, no-one can block your computer without some dangerous malware
And this type of malware doesn't usually transfer to someone's personal computer, usually, it's used in some kind of banking scams

Customer Replay

No they identified my computer, and then left me to point of selecting Download that non-MS software .Person gave name of Dan Lewis

Got it, and could you tell me, what did they tell you about your computer?

Customer Replay

Said it had been invaded by a hacker. I have not noticed any operational problems.

Currently, Microsoft doesn't contact their users, as they don't know their phone numbers and can't track individual computers. Please, don't follow the link they've told you to follow, as this is not the Microsoft who phoned you, but some kind of scammers
Could you please tell me the operating system that you're using so we could check your computer for viruses?

Customer Replay

Do you say "Ignore threat"?

Yes, as Microsoft can't track individual computers and doesn't have access to them. The "real" Microsoft doesn't know the parameters of your computer, and it's the scammers who are trying to persuade you to download the app on your computer to make some manipulations with it

Windows 7

Got it, just a moment, please

Oh, then it means, that your computer doesn't have any virus. Could you please tell me the number that they're calling you from?

Customer Replay

********

Got it, just a moment, I'll check this number :)
Here is the review about this number about other users: This scammer pretended to be calling in on behalf of Microsoft regarding the license for my laptop. Blocked!
Also this number is reported as Spam number.
So block it or never answer and that's it.
