Hello, thank you for using Howly.
May I ask if you have done any troubleshooting yourself yet?
tried to but really don't understand what i am supposed to do. not very tech minded
Got you.
*****, could you please tell me if your HP printer is currently connected to any network at all?
I am not sure and have no idea how to find out. , it used to be connected to my old router, but now i have a new router the network address is different, still Sky but new
Understood.
First, we need to perform a network setting reset in order to put your printer into "looking for network" mode.
To do this, press the Cancel button (1) and the Wireless button (2) from the printer control panel at the same time, and then hold them for three seconds.
Once you do that, you can easily connect your printer to Wi-Fi by pressing the WPS button on your router.
i will try earlier. Thank you for your help
