When we turn the Phillips Respironics Dream Station comes up with "Check Power Source"

We recently had a short in one of our electrical outlets that worked the machine

It is working. Thanks so much. Is there any reason that one outlet would differ from another. The waiting time is what made the difference?

Maybe, the power outlet you are using was functioning incorrectly. Try plugging another device into the same outlet to see if it works. If the outlet is not working, try using a different outlet or contact an electrician to resolve any electrical issues.
Also, give the device some time to "cool down".

It is better to check the outlets properly and check the device itself, of course.
