My husband thinks there is a 0 shown if you don't have any messages. I said no only if you have messages. Who is right. Thanks

My husband sees the 0. It is where the number of messages shows.

I assume, that 0 is shown where there are no messages on your answering machine.
Usually, answering machine has no limit on the number of messages it will hold. However, un-played or saved messages are supposed only to remain in your machine for 30 days before the system automatically purges them.

It should show up when there are no messages, or it doesn't show up at all when there are no messages
