Transfer telegram from one device to another, I created a new telegram account and I need to cancel
Short summary:
- Install Telegram on your new device and open the app.
- Enter your new phone number when prompted.
- If you accidentally created a second Telegram account, you need to delete it first before you can transfer your current account to your new device.
- To delete your second account, open the settings on your new device and tap on “Account.” Then, select “Delete Account” and follow the instructions.
- Once you have deleted your second account, you can now transfer your current account to your new device.
- On your old device, open the Telegram app and tap the three horizontal lines menu button at the top-left corner. From the menu that appears, tap on “Settings” to access Telegram settings.
- Under “Account” settings, tap on your phone number to change it. From the next page, press the “Change number” button to proceed further.
- Enter your new phone number and Telegram will send you an SMS confirmation code soon after tapping the checkmark icon at the top-right corner. Enter it, and you have successfully changed your Telegram number.
- Once you have successfully changed your Telegram number, you can now sign in to your account on your new device using your new phone number.

yes. I bought a new device with a new phone number and I want to transfer my current account to my new device

No I don’t think so.

I changed the number to another phone number as well if so I could transfer my current account but that didn’t work

I don’t have telegram on the new device anymore. What I did was change the number to
another number & then deleted the app

As fas as I understand, currently you have an old Telegram account on an old device, which you would like to keep, and you have a new account on a new device, correct?
Yes to the telegram on old device no to new account on new device. What I did was change the phone number on the new account on the new device and then deleted the app so I could use the old one but it didn’t work
So, to change the phone number of your old account to the new phone number that you have, you will need to delete your new Telegram account first.
When you delete the Telegram app you do not delete the account itself.
