Nice to meet you, *****!

Last night before I went to bed I wanted to power off my pc but the power button wouldn’t work so I had to go into the window settings and power it off from there. Now that I woke up this morning trying to use my pc, it doesn’t turn on.

What PC do you have?
Is it Windows?

Customer Replay

My friend built it for me. It says msi as a sticker but not sure he built it with different parts
but it runs windows

thank you for the pictures

No problem

Customer Replay

What troubleshooting have you done so far?

none. I don’t know my way around computers. I just opened up the computer and watched YouTube videos
to see how I can fix it
but don’t wanna try anything yet

Customer Replay

When your PC won’t turn on, it can be hard to know where to start fixing it. Modern PCs are complex machines, so it might not be immediately obvious where the problem originates.
Because of the variety of possible hardware configurations, it isn't possible to diagnose every possible issue. Instead, we’re covering steps you can take to identify the problem and fix it

If my pc was on last night when I tried to power it off? It has to be the power button right?
the power button wouldn’t budge

Customer Replay

normally you have to turn off your PC through the Windows Srart menu
To avoid disruptions in Windows system work

Yes I always turn off my pc manually with the button but this time it wouldn’t work

Customer Replay

It's better not to use the button to turn it off

Got it
so what can we do

Customer Replay

“My PC won’t turn on” can mean quite a few different things. For the sake of clarity, we’re assuming that either your system isn't reacting at all when the power button on your case is pressed, or that it’s turning on for a second or so then shutting down again.

It’s just turning on at all

Customer Replay

Step 1: Check Your Cables

  1. Test that the wall outlet is active by plugging in a device that you know works and seeing if it functions properly.
  2. Make sure any surge protector or power strip is correctly plugged into the outlet, and that the power switch is on. Plug in other devices to the power strip and confirm they are operating properly.
  3. Double-check that your PC’s power supply on/off switch is on.
  4. Confirm that the PC power cable is properly plugged into the power supply and outlet, as it can become loose over time.

I’m confused. I connected it now to an outlet and turned on.

Customer Replay

So is it working now?

But I want to connect it to the other outlet where it goes. What if I disconnect it and it doesn’t turn back on again
how can I avoid this problem

Customer Replay

Please wait for the PC to completely turn on
Then go to Start menu of Windows and turn it off from there

You said I shouldn’t use the power button. But how am I gonna turn on my pc everytime?
i turn off my pc every day after I’m done using

Customer Replay

Once the PC is turned off, please change the power outlets and try to turn off on again
I said, please o not use the power button to TURN OFF the PC
However, to TURN it ON you have to use the power button

I heard it’s best to leave the pc on at all times. Is that true

Customer Replay

You can do it if your power cable has stable electricity
if it turns off and on sometimes randomly, your PC may burn from the electricity jumps

Got it
should I leave it on all the time you think? I have stable electricity

Customer Replay

there are special UPS devices to stabilize the voltages

What do you do with yours?

Customer Replay

I use laptop and I close it when I am not using it
it goes to the sleep mode
once in a week or so I restart it

Mine goes to sleep mode after I don’t use it for a while

Customer Replay

When I am taking days off from online world, I turn off my laptop completely
