What troubleshooting have you done so far?

Customer Replay

I reset the ipod and then restored factory settings and tried to sync it from that point and the words sync were lighter than anything that was available for you to do meaning I cannot sync it
I cannot think of anything else aside from one of the ipods might need a new battery soon

Got it.
*****, can you please tell me how do you sync your iPod, step-by-step?

Customer Replay

I have itunes open and then I plug the ipod in then I go to the file menu and then highlight devices and it brings up a menu that has Sync, Transfer Purchases Back up and Restore from Back up options, but none of these options allow me to use them

Ah, I see.
Thanks for clarifying that.

Customer Replay

It wont even charge

May I please ask you to restart your computer, then open iTunes, and connect your iPod again?

Customer Replay

okay

Take your time.

Customer Replay

The computer started to update , so it will take about three minutes or so

No problem.

Customer Replay

It may take a little longer because it is only at 30% now

No worries.

Customer Replay

I am not sure how long it will be because it finished counting up but it is processing now on the main title screen

Don't worry - take as much time as you need.

Customer Replay

It is almost finished

Great.

Customer Replay

It is doing the exact same thing. It wont let me sync the ipod

I see, thanks for clarifying.
May I please ask you to follow these steps?
Click Summary on the left-hand side of the iTunes window.
Select "Sync with this [device] over Wi-Fi".
Click Apply.
When the computer and the device are on the same Wi-Fi network, the device will appear on iTunes. The device will sync automatically whenever it's plugged into a power source and iTunes is open on the computer.

Customer Replay

I dont see where it says summary

Is there a way you could take a screenshot of your iTunes?

Customer Replay

I see File, Edit, Song, View Controls, Account, Help

To take a screenshot you need to press the Windows + Print Screen keys on your keyboard at the same time. For some keyboards, you may see other signs marked along with Print Screen. In this case, you need to press the Fn key simultaneously when capturing. The captured screenshot will be saved in C:UsersADMINPicturesScreenshots as a PNG image.
To attach your screenshot to our chat, you need to press the paper clip button in the lower right corner of the chat window. Then you have to choose an image and confirm sending.

Customer Replay

ok
It is on a separate computer than I am on now

Ah, right. Can you please send the screenshot to help@howly.com ?

Customer Replay

I am trying to send it now

Customer Replay

It should have sent by now

Can you please click on the "Account" and tell me what you see?

Customer Replay

It has my name, then my email address then view my account, authorizations sign out, Apple Music, Wish List Purchased Check for available downloads redeem

I see, thanks for clarifying.
Are you sure the cable you're using is working?
When you connect your iPod to your computer, is it charging?

Customer Replay

I tried two different ones
no

I see.

Customer Replay

I plugged in another and it is charging, but not synching

Understood.
May I please ask you to try these steps?

Customer Replay

Yes

Restart your iPod, iTunes, and computer. Re-Authorize iTunes on the computer by going to iTunes > Store. Update iOS and iTunes to the latest version. Run iTunes in the Administrative mode in Windows.

Customer Replay

Ok

Take your time.

Customer Replay

It actually just started syncing on it own. I think that the computer just had to update and after that occurred the Itunes seems like it is working like it did before

Oh, really? Great!
Is it working normally now?

Customer Replay

It looks like it is

Wonderful!
