My iphone 12 does not ring but goes directly to call answer.

Short summary:

  1. Check Airplane mode: Open Settings and look at the switch next to Airplane Mode. If it's green, it means it is enabled - make sure to switch it to "off".
  2. Check for Do Not Disturb mode: Open Control Center by swiping down from the upper right-hand corner of the screen, and look for the Moon icon. If it’s white and purple, Do Not Disturb is on. Tap the icon to turn it off.
  3. Ask someone to call you to test if the issue is resolved.

Ok, first things first, let's check Airplane mode on your iPhone 12.

Great, now let's check for any modes enabled, specifically "Do Not Disturb".
To turn off Do Not Disturb:

  • Open Control Center by swiping down from the upper right-hand corner of the screen, and looking for the Moon icon.
  • If it’s white and purple, Do Not Disturb is on.
  • Tap the icon to turn it off.
