You need to have the status of your background check before you start working for Uber.

That’s part of the problem I applied about 67 years ago and I was denied well they don’t have the records anymore and they’ve dismissed me again so I’m getting the runaround hear you guys say I need a report he can’t give me a report so I don’t know what to do but I need to change the information on my car also
You can add a vehicle by navigating to drivers.uber.com or using the Driver app. If you're trying to add the vehicle after logging into drivers.uber.com , you can select the VEHICLES tab and then add the required information and documents for the vehicle you wish to drive.

Here is what I've found out
Uber uses a third-party company called Checkr to check criminal records. This will review three years of driving history and your criminal record. Uber will provide you with the results in three to five days. If your file comes back “not clear” you may need to submit fingerprints to the RCMP.
