I have a cannon E0S 700D camera

and I have just purchased a Cannon EF 1.4 Extender, and The extender fits onto my camera ok but my lenses dont fit onto the extender. Is there another adaptor I need to purchase to make this work??

Hello, thank you for using Howly. I’ll be happy to help you out! May I ask your name?

Nice to meet you, *****!
So, I can see that EF 1.4x has these specifications:
Length 1.1" / 27.2 mm
Diameter 2.8" / 72 mm
What lenses do you use?

Customer Replay

All Cannon EFS 55-250

Got it
Unfortunately, you can't use a Canon extender with any EF-S lens.

Oh really not at all ???? not even with some sort of adaptor???

Theoretically yes, practically... not really.
Extenders are for primes and top-class zooms. The Canon extenders aren't listed as compatible with the 55-250, and I suspect the quality loss would be too high.

Is there an adaptor that I could at least try??

I hear about some Kenko teleconverters that are EF-S compatible. Let me check it.
