I had a I Phone 11 that was damaged and not usable

I purchased a new I Phone and need to transfer data saved on the I Cloud to my new phone since my old phone will not allow me to get info to do a phone to phone data exchange.

yes it will turn on but will not connect to Wi-Fi nor allow me to make calls or send text messages

Please open the Settings app on your old phone and search iCloud Backup (click the icon), then select Back Up Now. Once that finishes, go back to your new iPhone and select the backup you just created as what you want to use to restore from.

I don't see a back up now option. I have several categories' but not back up now.

Please turn on your new device and place it near your current device.
Connect your device to Wi-Fi or your device's cellular network.
You might be asked to activate your cellular service.
Set up Face ID or Touch ID.
Choose how you want to transfer your data.

You should see the "set up the new iPhone" pop-up on it.

i went back to old phone and now it wont let me connect to wifi. that's why I wanted to get data transferred from cloud not phone to phone.
