How do i change the settings so unverified microsoft apps can be downloaded?

Hello, thank you for using Howly.
In order to resolve the issue, please, do the following:

  1. Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features.
  2. In the right pane of Apps & features, under Choose where to get apps, select theAnywhere option.
  3. This will then allow you to install non-Microsoft Store apps.

Okay, let's try enabling the Developer Mode.
Developer Mode is a policy that allows you to lift the original system restrictions to install certain apps on Windows 11.

Customer Replay

of course lol i just don't know what you need, not techy at all lol
okie dokie how do i do that lol

  1. Open Settings on Windows 11.
  2. Click on Privacy & security.
  3. Select the For developers page on the right side.
  4. Turn on the Developer Mode toggle switch to enable the feature.
  5. Click the Yes button.

Once you complete the steps, Windows 11 will be open to receive Microsoft Store apps from any source.
Let me know if there are any issues, please :)

Customer Replay

Customer Replay

Do you know how to take a screenshot on your device?

Customer Replay

yep! what do you need?

Great! So you know something at technology, *****😄
Please, go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features and take a screenshot of what you see.
To attach your screenshot to our chat, you need to press the paper clip button in the lower right corner of the chat window. Then you have to choose an image and confirm sending.

  • On System Information in search results.

no probs lol

I see! Just as I suspected, your device runs in Windows S mode. Let's switch out from it.

Customer Replay

ok!

  • Open the Windows Settings app using the Windows + I key combination.
  • Having the System tab selected on the left pane, click on Activation in the right pane.
  • On this Activation page, you will see Switch to Windows 11/10 Home or Pro based on your version.
Action process and switch out of S mode.
Disregard the line after the 3-rd point.
    Here's what to do next:
In this section, click on the link Go to the Microsoft store.
  • In the Switch Out of S mode pop up, click on the Get button.
    Then, click on Install.
Finally, click on Yes, let’s go to confirm the installation process and switch out of S mode.
