Hello, thank you for contacting Howly! I am here to help you today!
May I know your first name, please?

Nice to meet you, *****. Allow me some time, please.

Customer Replay

Ok

Try this:
Turn off your PC, and then boot it up again.
As soon as the manufacturer's logo appears on the screen, press the F2 key to access the boot menu. This key can change depending on which manufacturer made your PC, so refer to the user manual if F2 doesn't work.
Once you have entered the boot menu, the first thing you need to do is change the boot options to CD/DVD Rom. You can also select boot from
USB if you have a bootable USB drive.
If you don’t own a CD, then you can also use a USB drive to run the Windows repair.

Enter your Windows 10 OS CD/DVD. Restart your computer, and it will now boot from your CD/DVD Rom. A message will appear on the screen that says, "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD." Follow those instructions and press any key on your keyboard.
It will boot up your Windows repair/install process.
Select your time zone, language, and keyboard input method.
On the next screen, click on the Repair your computer button. Next, click on Troubleshooting > Advanced options > Automatic repair.

I will tried already with another tech support. Can't use f keys. Have windows 10 on a usb drive and wanna do a clean windows install. I can only access uefi firmware setting.

Customer Replay

Okay, can you access boot sequence menu?

I dont think so but will try again if tell me how

Customer Replay

Which laptop is that? What is the brand?

Customer Replay

Restart the computer. Press the F2 key to enter computer's BIOS Setup during Power-On Self-Test, or POST, process while the Gateway logo is being displayed. Press the Right Arrow key to select Main. Select F12 Boot Menu.
You mentioned that you cannot use the F keys, why is that?

Idk but wont work. I accidentalky deleted some partions trying to install an external harddrive and nothing really works now

Customer Replay

But if you are able to access the UEFI menus then you should be able to use the F keys.

No on screen it says press esc for uefi firmware settings and can do the rest f8 for startup and f1 for recovery dont work

Customer Replay

Okay, enter the UEFI bios, please.

Customer Replay

What do you see?

banner 9

Ok Im on what says at top aptio setup utility. Underneath it has choice of main, advanced, chipset, security, boot. I dont see where to enter uefi bios

Customer Replay

Do you have the USB stick inserted?

I just put in

Customer Replay

Okay, select boot settings.

Customer Replay

Make your USB stick the first on settings.

Customer Replay

Then save and boot.

How do I do that
I see save and exit

Customer Replay

Click Save and Exit, yes.

Save changes and reset

Customer Replay

Yes, that is correct.

Ohh i just pushed 1st one now its going into windows setup

Customer Replay

Good

Sjould i hit install now

Customer Replay

You can now install Windows, *****.

Customer Replay

Thanks for understanding.

I should say the same to you. Now I hit custom install as i dont think regular will work
Or idk

Customer Replay

Regular one should work.

It didnt. Now on custom. It gave me 2 options on where to install and says both wont work.

Customer Replay

Any reasons why?

For regular 1 it says upgrade option notavailable if start with windows 10. It says if have copy installed which I do i have to remove installation media
I havr friends pc so will try to remove installtion media on usb

Customer Replay

Then please try to remove installation media.

I am but not sure which folder still looking

Customer Replay

Gotcha.
Take your time.

Im just going to format and start over

Customer Replay

Okay, got it.

Idk how to do without downloading installation media is there another way

Customer Replay

Allow me some time, please.

Maybe ctry installing windows 11 ifca

Customer Replay

Do you have a flash drive with Windows on it?

Well i just deleted and can put back on only with installatiin media but will

Customer Replay

This would be a best option

Its taking a min

Customer Replay

I'll wait, take your time
Let me know when you are ready

Customer Replay

Excellent, now please try to but your Laptop with a flash drive in it

Customer Replay

Let me know how everything is going.

Ok tried advance and it says cant be installed. Selected disk has mbr partition table. On efi systems, windows can only be installed to gpt disks . Then windows cant be installed to hard disk space. Must be installed to a partition formatted as ntfs

Customer Replay

Do you have any valuable data on a hard drive?

Customer Replay

Got it, then we can fully re-create hard drive partitions

Customer Replay

Do you have a Win 10 or Win 11 on the flash drive?

Customer Replay

Do you see an option to create new partitions?

Refresh, delete, format, new, load driver and extend are options

Customer Replay

I suggest you Delete all the drives of your hard drive and then create a new ones

Customer Replay

Let me know how everything is going.

I deleted first one and the next which says unallocated space doesnt give the option to delete

Customer Replay

Now select "unallocated space" and choose to create a new partition

Ok its asking size. Number in box says 59902
Mb

Customer Replay

Choose 59902 Mb
It is enough for the installation

Ok i think
Getting files ready fir installation

Customer Replay

Good, now we need just to wait
