Nice to meet you, *****!
Please, check the TV's sound output mode to ensure the internal speakers are set to ON and that the volume is not muted. Also, try to unplug the Blu-ray Player, then plug it back in again.
tv has volume, just unplugged and plugged it is on
Got it. Can you check it now?
trying now
Got it
says there is no connected device
Got it
Did you happen to see this message before? Or this message appeared when you did this: "just unplugged and plugged it is on"?
we never saw it before, video is playing, no sound
So, now video is playing but no sound, right?
correct
Got it
If the audio doesn't work after you've checked everything else with the connections and TV, you may need to reset the Blu-ray player. Unplug the player from the electrical outlet for at least five seconds, then plug it in. Check to see if the sound is restored. If not, perform a factory reset. Please note: This will cause the player to lose all set configurations, such as network settings and Netflix account information. Press the "Home" button on the Blu-ray player's remote. Select "Setup," then select "Others." Select "Initialize," then "Factory Set."
just reset factory going thru prompts to set up
Please, let me know about the result
didn't work
Still no sound?
Please, try this:
Go to your Blue Rays settings in the main menu. Go to HDMI settings. Go to the audio output and change it from Bitstream to LPCM.
