My aol.com mail has all of sudden started sending hundreds of messages a day

I used my desk top for years with no problm. Tried to use app on cell phone went I traveled but problem started and deleted it from my phone.

New Mail Had over 300 messages on it everyday for past five days. Spam had 30 or so all of it with some good mail in the new mail
Deleted app on cell phone when problem began.

where do I text picture the mails I am getting are from all kinds of advertisers stuff I normally would see in spam which I never read and delete

Just looked at emails and they come from all kinds of advertisers with different addresses nothing common to any of the except they should be in spam. Should I shut downioad aol and reload it?

  1. Open https://www.aol.com/
  2. Sign in to your account via the 'Login/Join button'
    After that, we can set the Spam filter

  1. Once logged in, click on options at the top right-hand corner then Mail Settings.
  2. In your mail settings, click on the Spam Settings tab.
  3. Finally in your Spam Settings, change your spam filter to a level you desire.
