I have Windows 8.1 pop up said we have to get MS 11 to maintain support and it said we need to put on new computer can tit go on our present HP Envy 23?

It is not supported by Microsoft like Windows 10 or 11, but it is not critical.

Microsoft will not force you to use another version of Windows. They just recommend you to do so.

But a lot of people still using Windows 7 or even Windows XP and don't have any problems with it:)
