How can I update my Acer windows vista to an earlier windows version?

My acer currently has windows vista. I want to update to an earlier version of windows. How can I do that?

Short summary:

  • Upgrading directly from Vista to 10 or 11 is not an option.
  • The first step is to install Windows 7 and then proceed with the upgrade to Windows 10 or 11.
  • Alternatively, you can purchase Windows 10 or 11 directly.

Unfortunately, you can't directly upgrade from Vista to 10 or 11
If you have a 32-bit version of Vista, you can only upgrade to a 32-bit version of Win7. If you have a 64-bit version of Vista, you can only upgrade to a 64-bit version of Win7.
