It's an old account I thought I had deleted it. If I try to recreate it, it says it's taken. when I type it in it says it doesn't exist

Please, follow these steps:

  1. Head into your Settings > Accounts and backup
  2. Select Manage Accounts
  3. Tap on the Google Account you would like to remove
  4. You will then need to select and reconfirm your action by tapping on Remove Account

You can follow these steps in order to erase your phone

  1. Turn off your Samsung mobile.
  2. Hold down the Power Button + Volume Up Button
  3. When you see the logo, release all the Buttons.
  4. Next, You will see the Android exclamation mark.
  5. While holding down the Power button, press and release the Volume Up Button.
  6. Next, select wipe data/factory reset option, By using Volume Buttons and confirm with Power Button.
  7. Next, select the “Yes–delete all user data” option, By using Volume Buttons and confirm with power Button.
  8. Finally, Select Option Reboot System.
