We acquired Professional Weather Station Model 01516

and are having trouble with the backlight sttings

the Auto dim mode does not respond to adjustments
it is always in Auto Dim Mode and does not allow any changes

Please • Reset the display by pressing and holding the CLEAR
RECORD / RESET button for 10 seconds, located in the battery compartment of the display. Date and time will need to be entered after a reset

for the night 15% and day is ok with100%

Please note your Weather Station has three modes
High brightness, Medium brightness and Low brightness.
Using battery power alone, the backlight is available momentarily for 10 seconds by pressing the "lamp" button.
When display is powered with the power adapter, backlight remains on at 100% brightness. Press "lamp" button once to dim to 60% brightness; press again to dim to 30%, press a 3rd time to enter “AUTO DIM” mode.
Please make sure the date and time were set correct

I think by going through all this, I did find the button that regulates the backlight, it is on top of the monitor. ogh..., well thank you an awful lot.
