Nice to meet you, *****!
What troubleshooting have you done so far?

Customer Replay

looked up on internet but nothing changed
even started a new spreadsheet

Have you tried formatting the cell as text?

Customer Replay

yes but still comes up as 888 looks like 8.88
unless i keep adding 8s

I see. So it is only with three digits, correct?

Customer Replay

two digits will look like this .88
one digit 9

Okay, I see. But if you subtract or add digits, everything's normal?

Customer Replay

Customer Replay

Customer Replay

the latest version was down loaded
not sure of the number

Thank you for clarifying!
Could you please tell me when and how did the problem occur?

Customer Replay

i was working in the spread sheet and i hit something
but not sure what
my fingers get in the way

No worries, I will do my best to help you.
Select the cells you want to format. On the Home tab, select Increase Decimal or Decrease Decimal to show more or fewer digits after the decimal point.
Each selection or click adds or removes a decimal place. Your new decimal places setting is now in effect.

Customer Replay

it either adds zero or rounds it off but as soon as i type a number ex;888 it comes up as 8.88
