Initially I began setting up my son's Oculus account, but it's connected to his mother's email address and she can't find the information we need.

Here is how you can reset it:
1. Hold the power and volume buttons on your headset down simultaneously until the boot screen loads on your headset.
2. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Factory Reset and press the power button.
3. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Yes and press the power button.

Now you'll have to log in with your Oculus account and redownload your apps. You'll have to have the original username and password. You can certainly create a new account, but purchases are tied to the account, not the headset.

Ok. Also, the headset is giving instructions to pull out something from the controllers, but we did that during the original setup.
