I was trying to sign up to be a Uber driver.

I have been trying to sign up and get set up with a rental or purchase of a grand caravan but it will not even allow me to sign up and I wanted to this

Short summary:

  1. Go to the Uber website or open the Uber app on your computer.
  2. Click on the "Sign Up" button and enter your personal information as prompted.
  3. On the next screen, you will be asked to provide your phone number. Since you don't have a cell phone, continue to the next step.
  4. If you see a message stating that you previously opted out of receiving messages from Uber, click on the "Update Preferences" or similar link.
  5. On the preferences page, you will see different types of messages you can receive from Uber. These may include promotional emails, trip receipts, or other notifications. Check the boxes next to the messages you want to receive.
  6. Once you have updated your preferences, click on the "Submit" or similar button to create your account.
  7. You should now be able to complete the sign-up process without encountering any issues related to opting out of messages.

Could you try to follow this instruction, please:

  1. Go to the Uber website or open the Uber app on your device.
  2. Click on the "Sign Up" button and enter your personal information.

  4. If you previously opted out of receiving messages from Uber, you may see a message that says "Sorry, we cannot create your account at this time." Click on the "Update Preferences" link.
  5. On the next screen, you will see a list of the different types of messages you can receive from Uber, such as promotional emails or trip receipts. Check the boxes next to the messages you want to receive.
  6. Once you have updated your preferences, click on the "Submit" button to create your account.
