I choose update Quicken accounts and it appears to go through the process but the latest transactions are not downloading.

When I "reconciled" using "online balance" it finds the current balance but does not find the latest transactions.

Confirm that the Sort Order in your account is by Date; just click the top of the Date column in your account register.

My quicken for mac has quit downloading transactions for the past 2 days. I had mistakenly deleted quicken but retrieved from from my backup disk, thought everything was okay.

Please check if your Sort Order is set to "by Date"

Good, please Refresh your online account information by clicking the Actions Gear Icon on the upper right of the register, and select Update Now

Don't see that but the Q has a check for updates and my quicken is up to date

Please click on the Q icon, do you have an option called " One Step Update" there?

No, but I clicked "check for updates" and my quicken is up to date.
I use qucken for mac
And I am paid up on my quicken account until next year

Got it, we can try to restore the backup

  1. In Quicken, select File > Restore from Backup
  2. Select the Automatic Backups folder it resets data in the Quicken cloud
  3. Please check if the latest transactions appear after that
