I am getting a machine communication error on my Maker

I have tried several times to do a print and cut. I have not used my Cricut in quite sometime. I am using my iPad. Should I switch to my MacAir?

Hello, thank you for using Howly. I’ll be happy to help you out! May I ask your name?

Received, thanks
What troubleshooting have you done so far?

Customer Replay

Nothing, I didn’t know what to do.

Open your phone Settings, and unpair your Cricut machine from your device.
And tell me when it’s done

Customer Replay

Ok this is going to sound dumb but how do I unpair?
I am at Design Space in settings

Open Settings > Bluetooth.
Click on the "i" near the device that you want to remove/forget.
Based on the current status of the device, you'll get the option Forget This Device.

Please, try to pair it

Customer Replay

I don’t know how to do that either.
I know I am not tech savvy.

What exact Cricut Maker do you have?

Customer Replay

The first one that came out.

Could you clarify?

Have you paired them?

Customer Replay

I don’t know how to pair them.
Is the pin *****

What pin do you mean?
Lets try to pair it to your iPad
Ensure your Cricut Explore or Cricut Maker machine is powered on and within 10-15 feet of your mobile device. If you have the first Cricut Explore model or Cricut Explore One, ensure that your Wireless Bluetooth Adapter is inserted.
Open Settings > Bluetooth.
And tell me when its done

Customer Replay

when I clicked on Maker the next screen asked for a pin

If Bluetooth is off, tap it to turn it on. You will see your Cricut Bluetooth device.
Select your adapter/Bluetooth module name from the list (You will find the name of your adapter in your packaging materials.)

Customer Replay

Ok. The pin was *****. I am now connected.
