Cannot turn on the heater, most importantly, also some of the other features

don’t know. This fireplace is new to me and I do have the instruction booklet

Does it respond, when you press the fire button?
And could you please follow these steps:

  1. Turn the unit off and unplug the unit for 5 minutes.
  2. Plug back in and turn on the unit.
  3. Turn off a circuit breaker that supplies electricity to the unit and wait 5 minutes.
  4. Flip the circuit breaker back on.

i can turn turn it on with little trouble, but when I try to execute its features I am not able to execute them. It seems to be slow reacting to the remote commands

  1. Change the battery for the remote control.
  2. Check to make sure the master switch is turned on.

I turned it on, but still no heat

Touch the Fire icon button once to activate the heater at its low level (the icon will light up) to activate the heater at its low level (700W). Touch the button once more to active the heater at its high level (1350W). When set in high level, touch the button once again to deactivate the heater.
