Causes of the problem

There may be many reasons if the Internet does not work or your iPad's Wi-Fi is disconnected. The main causes of faulty Internet and access problems on the tablet are:

  • Imperfections of the tablet software. It is especially true for the new iPad models
  • Faulty router settings
  • Irrelevance and the problem of configuring the router
  • The power-saving Broadcom chip installed on the iPad

You can try to solve all of these wireless connection problems yourself by following these simple instructions.

Solving a wireless networking problem

If your iPad is not working properly and your Wi-Fi connection is failing, try the following basic tips:

  • Reset the pairing. In "Settings", go to "Basic" and "Network" to find the menu for managing wireless connections. Tap the "Forget this network" button and reconnect to it.
Solving a wireless networking problem
  • Delete the network settings. Open the "General" tab and delete the settings. Note that this solution and connection method will also delete any Internet passwords that you have previously saved.
  • Try changing the region. Apple technology can be inconsistent and unpredictable, so go to the settings and change the region of the wireless connection. Also, select channel 1 instead of the automatic location selection. It will ensure a stable signal.

If the above recommendations do not work, do not go straight to the service center. Firstly, try manually changing the connection settings on the tablet or router.

How to configure the router

Very often, the problem is hidden in the incorrect reconfiguration of the router, given that the mobile device does not see the network. It's a common issue for the owners of Apple devices that they do not connect to routers equipped with chip Atheros. It can be the possible reason why the device does not work well.

If you are sure that the problem is not in the iPad or phone, you can try to reconfigure the router. To do this, do the following:

  • Update the router software by connecting it to your computer via a USB port
  • Change the encryption type in the settings to double (WPA/WPA2)
  • Update the IP address via the "Renew Lease" section
  • Increase the brightness (if necessary) and restart the router

After that, try to configure the point and connect to Wi-Fi. Check your SIM card and balance if you have a 3G router and your tablet sees the network but does not connect to it. Very often, mobile Internet problems are due to trivial reasons such as a lack of money in the account or a spoiled SIM card.
