Hello, thank you for using Howly.
What troubleshooting have you done so far?
It is totally charged. I've tried pressing all buttons
Okay, got it
Could you please specify the model of your Bissel device?
It is a FEATHERWEIGHT CORDLESS XRT 2-IN-ONE LIGHTWEIGHT VACUUM 3079 SERIES.
Okay, thank you for clarification!
Can you tell me if any light is flashing on the vacuum?
No light flashing.
Red light is on now.
Is it solid or blinking?
While waiting I did press power again with no luck. Maybe that is why the Red light came on.
solid
So the light was red and then it turned off again, correct?
No...it is still on.
Okay, thank you for the clarification!
I would ask you to turn the vacuum off and remove the foot assembly.
You can remove it by pressing the silver button on the back of the assembly.
Tell me when it is done.
OK...done
Now you need to Remove the brush from the foot assembly by turning the groove on the brush clip using a coin or screwdriver.
After that, you need to clean the Brush and End caps from debris until the end caps spin freely.
Is everything clear with the provided instruction?
ok.. Done
Do ends caps spin on the brush freely?
ok done &yes they spin.
Great!
Now you need to check the suction channel on the foot assembly and clear it from any debris
I can see clear thru the neck.
That is good!
Now you need to but the brush back in the foot assembly
done
Now piece the foot assembly with the vacuum and try using it.
Tell me if the issue still remains
Same as before...keeps shutting off!
Got it
Green light comes on, but changes to red after a few seconds.
I got it, thank you for the information!
Could you please check if the vacuum still shuts off without foot assembly?
I removed hand vac unit and vacuum ran fine. I then put it back in stick and it seems to be working ok. I will try using it while on now.
Sure, if the issue comes back contact us, and we will help!
Do you have any additional questions I can help you with?
Seems ok NOW... Thanks for your help. Can you guess what the problem was?
The problem was the debris in the brush if i had to guess
ok...bye
The reattachment of the assembly just reset the info that Vacuum had about the brush so that it can run.
