Yes Bass Surr - + and one off/on
So the volume is regulated by these + and - buttons.
Is the cable that you using detachable on both ends?

Can you try to connect headphones to your computer, for example, and check if they will be producing sound, just to check that the cable is working?
The headphones are wireless so we have no way of connecting

Well, it is better to check all the equipment included.
Yes, there's a Mute button, that can cause that. Looks like a Speaker crossed with a line.
But that Muted state could be turned off by simply adjusting the volume.
