The temperature in my Samsung has oven is 50 degrees lower than the on screen settings and also a oven thermometer.

How do I recalibrate it

Short summary:

  1. Start by turning off the oven and letting it cool down completely.
  2. Place two oven thermometers inside the oven, ensuring they are placed in the center.
  3. Set the oven temperature to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (or desired temperature).
  4. Allow the oven to preheat for a sufficient amount of time until it indicates that it has reached the desired temperature (in this case, 350 degrees).
  5. After preheating, take note of the temperature readings on both oven thermometers.
  6. If the temperature readings on both thermometers show a temperature that is 50 degrees lower than the oven's displayed temperature, proceed to the next step. If the temperature difference is different, adjust the instructions accordingly.
  7. Press and hold the "Bake" button on the oven control panel for at least five seconds or until the display shows "0°".
  8. Once "0°" appears, use the "+" and "-" buttons on the control panel to adjust the temperature up or down.
  9. Adjust the temperature to match the reading on the oven thermometer placed in the center of the oven.
  10. After adjusting the temperature, allow the oven to preheat for another 20 minutes.
  11. Once preheating is complete, check the temperature again using the oven thermometer.
  12. If the temperature is still off by 50 degrees or more, repeat steps 7 to 11, making further adjustments as necessary, until the desired temperature accuracy is achieved.
  13. If, after several attempts, the oven does not respond to the temperature adjustment process (step 7), try the following troubleshooting step.
  14. Unplug the oven from the power source and wait for a few minutes.
  15. Plug the oven back in and repeat steps 7 to 12, starting from the point where the oven needs to be preheated to check the temperature accuracy.
  16. Once you have successfully adjusted the oven temperature and achieved the desired accuracy, you can use the oven for your cooking needs.

Hello, thank you for using Howly.

Thank you!
Tell me please, what troubleshooting have you done so far?

None. I just measured the temperature with 2 oven thermometers. I set the oven to heat up to 350. When the on screen setting showed that the oven was 350, I checked both thermometers and they both showed that the oven was only 300

Got it. Thank you for the information!

I also cut off the oven and let it cool. I then reset the oven to heat up to 400
Again the oven was off by 50 degrees

After the oven has preheated, make a note of the temperature reading on the thermometer.
Then please, press and hold the "Bake" button on the oven control panel for five seconds until "0°" appears on the display. Use the "+" and "-" buttons to adjust the temperature up or down to match the temperature reading on your oven thermometer.
After adjusting the oven temperature, let it preheat for 20 minutes and check the temperature again with an oven thermometer placed in the center of the oven.
You will need to repeat the process of adjusting and testing until you achieve the desired temperature accuracy.

I set the oven to 350. It only reached 300 after it preheated. I held the bake button in for 5 seconds and 0 would not come up

Like I previously said, when I pressed on the Bake button for 5 seconds, nothing happened. 0 would not appear on the screen and no adjustments could be made to the temperature

Could you try to unplug it, wait for a few mins, and then plug it back in? After that, repeat the instruction.

It is finally heating up to the right temperature
