Trying to set up the hp deskjet2700e

Are you trying to connect your HP printer to the computer?
trying to put in ink jets
- Turn on your printer
- Open the ink cartridge access door located in the front part of the printer.
- Lightly press down on the black ink cartridge on the right-side slot to release it.
- Pull the ink cartridge out.
Please let me know when you are finished so I could proceed with the instructions!
it is a new printer , we are having trouble installing the ink cartridges.

- Carefully remove the plastic tape from the new cartridge using the pull tab.
NOTE: Don’t touch the copper-colored contacts or the ink nozzles. - Hold the back ink cartridge by its sides. With the nozzles facing the printer, carefully insert them into the right-side slot. The cartridge needs to be inserted at a slightly upward angle.
- Press in and then push on the cartridge until it snaps into place.
- Repeat the same process for the tri-colored ink cartridge in the left carriage slot.
there is a plastic band going across the length of the area ,do we go over or under it
Is it on the ink cartridge?
it is inside the printer .in front the place
